The Cetindag name first appeared in the Turkish construction world on October 26, 1953 when The Cetindag Collective Company - Mehmet Cetindag and Brothers was formed. All three of the company's directors were graduates of The Istanbul Technical University: Mehmet Cetindag, Master of Civil Engineering, 1948; Ibrahim Çetindag, Master of Architectural Engineering, 1950; and E. Sakir Cetindag, graduated from the same school in 1953.
Paralleling the developmental onslaught in those years, the company signed its name on such projects as: (respectively)
• Izmir Municipality’s Inciralti Beach Houses (66 houses were completed in 90 days)
• Izmir Municipality’s Kemer Cold Storage Warehouse
• The Kemer - Kadifekale Road
• The Ţehitler
(Martyr’s) Bridge at the Saraphane junction
• The Sato Restaurant (architectural design by Riza Askan)
• In the Antalya Antbirlik district 26 cotton warehouses: 12 in Antalya, 6 in Manavgat, and 8 in Fenike; in addition to 2 integrated cotton gin factories
• Irrigation to the Sarikoy Valley and the Yenice regulator
• The Pozanti - Ulukisla Highway
• The Gulluk Ferryboat Pier

Due to the monetary devaluation in 1960 and the big disappointment created by the productivity of Russian machinery, the company became defunct in 1962. Despite this, the youngest of the brothers, E. Sakir Cetindag, continued his project and construction office in Izmir under his own name. Before his death in 1987, E. Sakir Cetindag not only put his signature on numerous private residential villas and apartments in the architectural - construction field, but also on:
• The Foca Club Med Holiday Village projects
• The Turkish branch offices for Egebank in the 1970s
• The Turkish Automotive Enterprise
• The Felemenk Tobacco Enterprise
• The Anadolu Frana/Vefa Borovali Akhisar Warehouse

At the same time, E. Sakir Cetindag was also a supporter in the founding of manufacturing sailing boat and equipment in Turkey.
To date, The Cetindag Architectural Office continues to work under the management of E. Sakir
Cetindag’s son, M. Levent Cetindag, (Bachelor in Architecture, Dokuz Eylul University, 1985).
Since 1994, under the name of Cetindag Architectural Construction Ltd., this establishment continues to successfully serve in the areas of decoration, construction, and special projects in Izmir.
